Eating healthy or eating enough at a meal can sometimes be hard when your busy. Being a busy mom of a 4 month year old I tend to grab whatever I can to quickly chew and swallow. I do eat very healthy but sometimes I don’t get enough to eat.

My typical breakfast looks like a cup of oatmeal with walnuts and flax seed or two pieces of whole grain bread with natural peanut butter. This is a healthy meal but missing the fruit or vegetables to make it complete. Also it’s rare that I have time to chew or enjoy my meal because I’m on the go.

A smoothie is a great way to get a full dose of nutrients and protein in a convenient a drink as you go way. This breakfast is loaded with protein which is slow to digest (keeping you fuller longer), omega 3 (for heart health), fibre (good for digestion), vitamin C and antioxidants (improve immune system).
